Jim Kavanagh, President
As President of General Systems Corporation, Jim directs the activities of GSC and is responsible for
planning hardware and third party software acquisitions for GSC and its clients. Jim came to the
company as a Human Factors Man/Machine interface specialist. He has directed the course of the company
through thirty-three years of rapidly changing hardware and software technology. He previously worked
for NCR in voice recognition technology development. Jim holds advanced degrees from the University of Rochester and the University of Dayton in Psychology and Information Technology.

Sharon Kavanagh, Chief Operating Officer
Sharon is co-owner and Chief Operating Officer of General Systems. She started with the company 34
years ago as a senior programmer/analyst. Sharon oversees Daily Operations, Quality Control,
Client Requirements, Client Relations and Human Resources. She was heavily involved in the requirements
analysis, and initiated design of our nonprofit products. Prior to General Systems, she worked in the
development of language compilers. Sharon graduated from the University of Rochester with a degree in
Psychology and Math.

Mike Bradicich, Director of Technology
Mike is GSC's Director of Technology. He has been a Lead Developer, one of our Team Leaders and is currently the head of our R&D team. Mike has been with General Systems for 5 years. He has his BS in Computer Science from Shippensburg University and had worked as a mainframe programmer, VB programmer, and a PowerBuilder instructor at George Washington University prior to joining GSC.

Bill Boudra, Project Manager and Lead Developer
Bill is a Lead Developer and one of our Team Leads at GSC. Bill holds a BA degree from Texas Christian University and studied towards a master's degree in Computer Science at Colorado State University. He has over fifteen years of programming, analysis, and design experience; he has worked with relational databases since 1988. Bill joined GSC in 1992 and has since served in various roles as an analyst, developer, and database administrator. He is happily married and has two wonderful daughters.

John Murphy, Project Manager and Lead Developer
John is a Lead Developer and Project Manager. His responsibilities include application design and development, client relations, database administration and production supervision for his team. In addition, John creates ad-hoc reports, processes file pulls, and works as a liaison with his team's clients to assist them with their needs and to perform their requests. John attended the University of Maryland, where he studied computer science. John's specialty is network and systems administration, and he works with the GSC network and systems teams to keep everything operating efficiently.

Rick Bentley came to General Systems in early 2004. He brings a rich array of experience and expertise
working with relational databases as programmer, developer and owner of his own firm.

Janice Kraus, Supervising Account Manager/Project Analyst
Janice is a Supervising Manager/Project Analyst and has been with GSC for 19 years. Janice's experience with GSC qualifies her to be
the resource and chief go-to person for employees and clients alike. Her responsibilities include Client Relations, Design and Testing, and Production Supervision for her team. In addition, Janice works as a liaison with her team's clients to assist them with their needs and to perform their requests. Janice graduated from Allegany College in Cumberland, MD with an degree in Computer Science.

Brian Couts, Account Manager
A 2003 addition to GSC's Account Management Team, Brian has a diverse background in accounting, management,
IT support and customer relations. Recently he focused on customized web design and development for museums and other nonprofits.
In his free time, Brian enjoys building computers, learning new applications, and camping with his dog "Redux."

Virginia Hopkins, Data Entry Supervisor
Virginia has been with GSC for nine years in the position of Data Entry Coordinator. Virginia's responsibilities as a leader in the DE
department include supervising and training data entry staff and doing the prep and edit work for client material. Shortly after acquiring her BS in Political Science and Geography from Illinois State University, Virginia came to the DC area and was an officer in the U.S. Army, employed at the U.S. House of Representatives and the Social Security Administration before joining GSC. She and her daughter live with Smokey, Bunny and Princess - their three cats!

Joe Haber, Director Sales and Marketing
Joe has 12 years of direct marketing experience working with nonprofit organizations and associations.
His experience includes both database and production management. Joe works with clients to maximize
their development efforts using the WinFunds database. He is also responsible for New Business
Development. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Management/Marketing from Towson University.

Karen Kress, Development Consultant
Karen Bates Kress has more than thirty years of experience in nonprofit management and resource development. She has been affiliated
with
GSC since 1999 but her first encounter with GSC was at the American Farmland Trust. Over a 16-year period, she served in senior development positions at The Nature Conservancy, National Parks and Conservation Association, and American Farmland Trust. Since 1992, she has had her own consulting business, helping over 30 organizations in fundraising, membership, organizational development, land projects, and strategic planning. Kress has long been an advocate of a fully integrated membership and development system and has found the best system in WinFundsTM
